More about this technology:

Checking a lot of websites for updates and new information can be a tedious and time-consuming task. If websites get frequently updated, it can be difficult to keep up with new information; if they don’t, it may happen that you visit the website in vain for several times before new content is added. In both cases, a notification system might be the solution. Such a system will alert you every time – and only – when modifications are made to websites. We have now integrated a notification system for the consultations section of the Stepps & District Community Council website. It is called an “RSS feed”. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a method of being kept up to date of changes to websites. You can subscribe to one RSS feed of a particular website and your so-called “RSS reader” will notify you of any modifications to the website.

For further instructions on how to use this feature of the website, please download this manaul (PDF format), which explains RSS feeds in detail, and walks you through step-by-step instructions on how to use them.
