We have received a small amount of funding £680 which has a time limit and must be used for a specific project. We are keen to seek ideas as to what this money could be used for. Ideas so far: Notice Board - Vandal Proof. Could be placed on wall outside library. This would provide the community with a more visible area for notices without having to go into the Library during their working hours. Drawing attached.

Drymen wrote to Stirling Council in 2005 requesting that this Byelaw be adopted, however the letter went astray. We now have maps and at the next meeting on 19th July 2006 we need to agree the boundaries. The attached document contains guidelines relating to the Byelaw.

The Scottish Executive issued a discussion paper entitled "What can we do to help Community Councils fulfil their role?"
At the end of the Paper was a Section summarising all the Questions asked with a request for all Community Councils (or interested parties to respond to as many questions as they thought relevent).
Drymen Community Council have submitted a response to this - here is a pdf file containing the original discussion paper & questions, and a word document containing Drymen's repsonse

Stirling Council (and other Councils in Scotland) are tasked with finding out the Community's views on a variety of subjects and to this end we are invited to attend regular meetings. Drymen has been included in a Cluster of villages as follows:
Arnprior, Balfron, Buchanan, Buchlyvie, Croftamie, Carron Valley and District, Drymen, Fintry, Gargunnock, Killearn, Kippen, Strathblane (known as Area 5).
Members of your Community Council attended the first Area Cluster meeting on 31st May 2005.
See the separate entry on "Rural Roads Consultation".
Dates for these meetings will be placed in the diary. If you have a particular issue you would like us to bring up on your behalf please contact one of the Community Councillors in advance.
